Lekgotla, the what and why your Group should be there!

What is the Lekgotla

The National Partnership Conference, or Lekgotla (meeting place for village assemblies and village leaders) will be the first general meeting of representatives of all Groups. It will be taking place from 6 – 7 October 2017.

Why it’s so important for your Group rep to be there!

In order for national and regional teams to be able to address what you as Groups on the ground experience and need, we need to have a place where we can listen when you, the Groups, talk.

The Lekgotla offers an open engagement forum to give a representative of every Scout Group in good standing the chance to voice their opinions, needs and suggestions and directly influence the strategic direction the Movement is taking in South Africa.

The Lekgotla participants will also be witness to the inauguration of a new Chief Scout and the appointment of Group and Alumni representatives to the new Scout Governing Board and also hopefully meet them.

The Lekgotla logistics

The conference will run from 6 -7 October 2017  at Eagles Nest, Kimberley. Arrival on the 5th of October and departure on the 8th of October.
