Every year on the 1st of August Scouts and Scout Alumni show their communities what it means to “be Proud to be a Scout” as we wear our scarves on World Scout Scarf Day!
As we conclude the #HikeToMahikeng, let’s get out there, hike a few more k’s and showcase Scouting in our neighbourhoods by wearing our Scout scarves with pride!
Taking selfies has become second nature to many of us so once again SCOUTS South Africa is running the “Scout Scarf Selfie Competition!” Take a selfie of yourself wearing your Scout scarf and a mask and stand the chance to WIN a SCOUTS South Africa mask or neckwarmer!
Email the image to firstname.lastname@example.org by the 15th of August 2020 – “Scout Scarf Selfie + name”. Give us your name, age, Scout Group, parent or Scouter’s cell number and/or email address.
The selfies may be used by our marketing and fundraising teams to promote SCOUTS SA so make sure that your parents are okay with us putting the photo online!
No longer a member of the Scout Movement, but still a proud Scout? Well “Once a Scout – Always a Scout!” we say, so join us in wearing your Scarf and send us those pictures!
Let’s have some FUN and SHOW SA that the Scouting adventure is alive and active in communities nationwide!
