This Friday (23rd February 2024), we had an excellent and well-attended District Campfire event, held at the 1st Cotswold Hall in Cotswold, Gqeberha. It was a joint NMB North and NMB South Campfire.

A number of warrants were presented, such as: The District Commissioners for NMB North (Theresa Naidoo), NMB South (Zelda Whitlock), Country District (Martin de Bruyn); NMB South Support Team Member for Cubs (Cecelia Oelofsen).

Long service awards were presented to Helen Dawood, Dominic Jaftha, Ivan De Veroux, and Ronnie van Rooyen.

The new Regional Commissioner (Neil O’Brien) was also presented with his warrant.
Last, but not least, Taylor Bratt was presented with her Leaping Wolf.

We enjoyed a large fire (fanned by the wind) and many wonderful songs and skits from Meerkats, Cubs and Scouts.

In a rare deviation from the usual course of events, we all got the opportunity to assist with building the fire and we made swift work of it, as we had many hands!
