Arnold Witte receiving his long service recognition from Regional Commissioner Neil O’Brien
Congratulations to Arnold Witte on receipt of his 50-year service award!
He has served in multiple uniform roles in the Movement, but extensively in non-uniform roles. A humble man with a positive attitude always keen to do the best for Scouting, he has been a pillar in our Region doing his best to ensure the survival of the Movement. He has been a continual source of support and sound advice for many members of the Regional Team, past and present. He has never sought to be the centre of attention, only to support those carrying out the Scout program.
Arnold was presented with this amazing milestone award at a place close to his heart – 1st Cotswold Scout Hall. He is currently supporting that Group by serving on their committee and is bursting with pride at the efforts of the uniformed members there in reviving Cotswold.
A testament to his great character, amongst his first response was to enquire whether those who have served as long as him have been recognised as well. Thank you Arnold for your continued support to this Movement that you love so much!
