World Scout Scarf Day is a moment to celebrate the unity that binds Scouts across the globe and here in the Eastern Cape South Region.
The simple fabric of our scarves are symbols of service, friendship, leadership, shared purpose, and the promise we make to live by the Scout Law and help others.
We mark 1 August because it is the anniversary of the very first Scout camp held by Lord Baden‑Powell in 1907, the beginning of a movement that has grown to millions of young people worldwide.
Today, every scarf worn with pride reminds us that we are part of that legacy and committed to making the world a better place. From the Eastern Cape to every corner of the world, let’s show our Eastern Cape South spirit and wear our Scarves with pride.
